HomeWell Care Services, Inc. is seeking a dependable part-time Registered Nurse to join our nonskilled home care team in Florida.

You will not provide skilled nursing, but your clinical judgment will help start care safely, support caregivers, and safeguard client well-being. The position requires an active Florida RN license, 2+ years nursing experience (home health preferred), and ability to pass AHCA Level 2 background checks.

Qualifications

• Active Florida RN license in good standing.
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience; home health/home care preferred.
• Able to pass AHCA Level 2 background screening.
• Meets agency health screening requirements.
• Comfortable with computers, email, and electronic documentation.
• Strong communication, teaching, and coaching skills.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and auto insurance.
• Availability for an office day and a field day each week, with flexibility for urgent visits.

Responsabilités

• Visit prospective clients' homes for consultations and assess current clients.
• Complete reassessments after hospital or rehab stays or changes in condition.
• Document assessments and care plans accurately and on time per AHCA rules.
• Assign tasks to caregivers per plan of care and verify qualification.
• Conduct caregiver competency assessments within 30 days of hire and annually.
• Perform RN supervisory visits in client homes as needed and document them.
• Obtain written client consent for RN supervisory visits.
• Observe care delivery, coach caregivers, and address concerns.
• Lead new caregiver orientations.
• Report changes in client condition promptly to the Agency Director.
• Maintain complete and timely client records.
• Represent HomeWell with professionalism and respect.

Schedule

Approximately 15 to 20 hours per week, depending on client census and needs. A typical week includes one to two office days and one field day, plus new caregiver orientations twice a month (2 hours each). Days are set in advance with the Agency Director.

HomeWell Care Services is a locally owned, AHCA licensed home care agency serving families across Duval and Nassau Counties. We provide nonskilled home care, including companionship, homemaker services, and personal care, so seniors and adults can stay safe and comfortable at home.

About the Role

We are looking for a dependable part time Registered Nurse to join our team. This is a nonskilled home care position. You will not be providing skilled nursing treatment. Your clinical judgment will help us start care safely, keep our caregivers well supported, and keep our clients in good hands.

Responsibilities

• Visit prospective clients in their homes for consultations, and visit current clients to complete assessments and reassessments
• Complete reassessments after hospital or rehab stays and when a change in condition is reported
• Complete assessment documentation and plans of care accurately and on time, in line with AHCA rules and agency policy
• Assign personal care tasks to caregivers based on each client’s plan of care, and confirm each caregiver is qualified for the tasks assigned based on training and experience
• Conduct caregiver competency assessments, including the practical skills portion, within the first 30 days of hire and annually thereafter
• Conduct and document RN supervisory visits of caregivers in client homes, as needed based on the client’s condition and the caregiver’s training and experience
• Obtain and file written client consent for RN supervisory visits
• Observe care delivery, coach caregivers, and follow up on concerns
• Host and lead new caregiver orientations
• Report changes in client condition or care needs to the Agency Director promptly
• Maintain complete, accurate, and timely client record documentation
• Represent HomeWell with professionalism and respect for client dignity

Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered Florida RN license in good standing
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, with home health or home care experience strongly preferred
• Ability to pass AHCA Level 2 background screening through the Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse, with rescreening as required
• Meets agency health screening requirements
• Comfortable with computers, email, and electronic documentation
• Strong communication, teaching, and coaching skills
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and proof of auto insurance
• Availability for an office day and a field day each week, with flexibility for urgent client visits
