Job summary

Sierra Tucson is hiring a Part Time Registered Nurse (RN) in Tucson, AZ to provide patient‑centered care in behavioral health settings. Responsibilities include evaluating physical and behavioral needs, developing care plans, and educating patients and families.

Eligible candidates have an accredited nursing degree and an active RN license in good standing, with CPR and de‑escalation training. Prior psychiatric or substance abuse experience is a plus; strong teamwork and documentation skills are

Qualifications

• Must graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Must hold a current RN license as required by state.
• One year of nursing experience; prior psychiatric/behavioral health or substance abuse nursing a plus.
• CPR and de‑escalation and restraint certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate care by assessing patients' physical and behavioral health needs.
• Develop and implement nursing care plans.
• Maintain medical records and educate patients and families about conditions.
• Administer medications per orders and document counts of controlled substances.
• Complete admission and discharge processing efficiently and accurately.
• Demonstrate therapeutic rapport while maintaining professional boundaries.
