Job summary

Hei Hotels Inc. is seeking a part-time bartender for our Riverwalk property in San Antonio. You will serve guests with a hospitable demeanor, balance cash, and promote drinks while maintaining bar setup and stock levels. The role requires basic wine, beer, and spirits knowledge and a friendly, reliable presence on shift.

Qualifications

• Hotel experience preferred.
• Must communicate well with guests.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service.
• Basic mathematical skills necessary to operate a cash register, make change, total guest checks, count total bank, prepare cash drops, total all other charges, and understand portion sizes.
• Sufficient manual dexterity to garnish, glassware, bottles, scoop ice, mix drinks, and reach stock.
• Ability to remember and promote the menu items.
• Ability to operate a keyboard and POS procedures to pre-check orders and close checks.

Responsibilities

• Maintain daily bar setup and stock of beer, wine, spirits, condiments, and produce.
• Prepare garnishes and keep perishables fresh to ensure product quality.
• Greet guests, take and document drink orders, and promote items.
• Mix, garnish, and present drinks following standard recipes.
• Adhere to state, federal, and company policies for serving alcohol.
• Enter orders into POS, balance cash, and issue checks for guests.
• Ensure accuracy of charges and deposits, and secure cash and equipment.
• Attend work regularly and perform other duties as assigned.
