Job summary

Allied Universal, Wheatfield retail/mall location, is seeking a Part-Time Unarmed Security Officer. The role includes patrolling, helping visitors and staff, and maintaining a visible security presence. You will document observations and respond professionally to incidents.

The position offers a part-time schedule with a shift pattern and opportunities to learn our shift-claim platform. Compensation is hourly and aligned with market norms.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to shoppers, tenants, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail common areas, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to deter security-related activity and identify concerns.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Monitor access points and observe activity within the location, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, and violations to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate activity, incident, and patrol reports in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
