Job summary

BuddiesHR is hiring part-time Retail Scan Associates to perform in-store data collection at local retailers every week for 52 weeks a year, including holiday weeks. Stores include grocery, convenience, drug, pet, and mass merchandise, working with Walmart, Kroger, Target, Albertsons and more.

Employees use a downloadable mobile app to scan barcodes across store locations and may be asked to report quantities for about 45% of scanned products.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license.
• Reliable vehicle with minimum state auto insurance coverage.
• Ability to endure being on your feet for long periods, while accessing products throughout the store.
• Ability to lift to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet in the air, and bend/stretch/stoop/stand.
• Ability to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Must be adeadline-driven self-starter.
• Must have access to reliable Wi‑Fi.
• Must be tech savvy.
• High school diploma or GED (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Visit a designated selection of stores each week to scan all product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including end caps.
• Use a mobile app to scan barcodes and collect data.
• Provide quantities for about 45% of scanned products when requested.
• Adhere to weekly deadlines and deliver data to clients.
• Work with major retailers and various store types on an ongoing basis.
