Job summary

ScanScape is hiring part-time Retail Scan Associates to visit local stores in Buffalo and nearby areas to scan barcodes on displays and in aisles. You will work across grocery, convenience, drug, pet, and mass merchandise stores, using a downloadable app on your mobile phone.

This role offers flexible hours (average 3–8 hours per week per store), paid travel at your hourly rate, 401(k) eligibility, and a monetary referral program.

Qualifications

• 18+ years old with a valid driver’s license.
• Reliable vehicle with state auto insurance coverage.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
• Able to reach up to 6 feet and bend/stretch as needed.
• Able to perform repetitive movements and work independently.
• Detail oriented and deadline-driven.
• Must have access to reliable Wi‑Fi and be tech savvy.

Responsibilities

• Visit designated stores weekly to scan barcodes on displays.
• Use a mobile app to scan barcodes across locations.
• Provide quantity data for about 45% of scanned products.
• Perform in-store data collection across grocery, convenience, drug, pet and mass retailers.
• Weekly deadlines and occasional extra hours for special projects.
• Ensure dependable and quality data delivery to clients.
