Job summary

ScanScape Retail is hiring part-time Retail Scan Associates to visit selected stores weekly to scan product barcodes and collect data for performance insights. The role offers independence, flexible hours, and consistent weekly activity across grocery, drug, and mass retailers.

You will use a mobile app to scan barcodes, work a schedule that may include weekends, and handle additional custom projects. Eligible for 401(k) with matching contributions and a referral program.

Qualifications

• Age 18+ with valid driver’s license.
• Reliable vehicle with minimum state auto insurance.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
• Able to reach 6 feet high and bend/stretch/stoop.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Deadline-driven self-starter.
• Reliable Wi‑Fi access and tech savvy.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-store data collections at assigned local retailers every week for 52 weeks a year, including holidays.
• Use a downloadable app on a mobile phone to scan barcodes throughout each store.
• Provide quantity for about 45% of scanned products.
• Complete Display Scanning across the store weekly, which may take several hours.
• Work with major retailers like Walmart, Kroger, Target, Albertsons and others.
• Adhere to weekly deadlines with dependable and quality-driven work.
• Flexibility in hours; travel is paid at your hourly rate (minus first and last 15 minutes).
• Participate in custom projects which add 30 minutes to 2 hours extra during weeks.
