Job Description

Sales Associates are responsible for generating sales by delighting our customers in all interactions, maintaining store and visual presentation, and adhering to operational standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Greet, engage, and determine customer needs to create a customer-focused environment that ensures outstanding service.
2. Achieve personal selling goals and contribute to the store’s monthly sales targets.
3. Embrace quarterly Division of Responsibility (DOR) and continuously educate oneself on product knowledge.
4. Maintain store appearance to meet merchandising and cleanliness standards.
5. Help solve customer problems proactively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
6. Influence customer purchasing decisions by communicating product quality, value, and style.
7. Utilize retail POS systems effectively.
8. Contribute to positive morale and teamwork within the store.
9. Maintain a positive, energetic demeanor.
10. Participate actively in store meetings and training sessions.
11. Follow Loss Prevention procedures to protect company assets.
12. Uphold Z Gallerie’s mission and values.
13. Demonstrate integrity and adhere to all company policies and standards.
14. Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Specifications

Education & Formal Training: High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to analyze issues strategically and tactically, and shift priorities quickly.

Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.

Work Environment/Hours: Part-time or full-time, varying hours including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Experience & Skills: Retail experience preferred; proficiency in Gmail and Google Apps preferred.

Physical Requirements: Ability to stand/walk for extended periods, lift a minimum of 50 lbs., perform store maintenance tasks, use ladders safely, and perform repetitive motions.
