Job summary

The Salvation Army Thrift Store in Royal Oak, MI is seeking a friendly Retail Sales Associate. You will greet customers, process sales at the register, balance the till, restock and organize merchandise, and help maintain a welcoming shopping environment for customers and donors.

Paid training, ongoing coaching, and opportunities to build retail and customer service skills are offered in a team-oriented setting with evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or currently pursuing.
• Ability to provide friendly customer service and assist shoppers.
• Comfort with basic math and using a computer.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide friendly, helpful service.

Location: Royal Oak MI Pay: $13.73 - $15.73 per hour Job Type: Part-time Schedule: 25 hours per week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled

About the Role

At The Salvation Army Thrift Store, your work helps turn donations into funding for programs that support people in our community. We are looking for a friendly, dependable Retail Sales Associate to provide great customer service, keep the store organized, and help create a welcoming shopping experience for customers and donors.

What You Need

• Previous retail, cashier, customer service, or thrift store experience
• Experience using a point of sale system
