Our Retail Centers are open 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sundays.

Pay: $16.57/hr. This position is eligible for Daily Pay, allowing you to work today and get paid today! We've partnered with DailyPay, a voluntary benefit for employees to access their pay on their schedule. Part-time employees in our Retail and Sales/Operations divisions are eligible for paid holidays, sick leave, jury duty, and bereavement leave. All employees can contribute pre-tax or post-tax (Roth) to our retirement plan, must be 18+ to participate. Goodwill of Colorado is a Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program (PSLF) eligible employer.

Job Summary

The Retail Production Associate I primarily works in a production environment, processing and sorting donated items following company standards to determine which items will be sold on the floor. Responsibilities include pricing and testing items as required. The Associate ensures the sales floor is well-stocked, organized, and presentable. Occasionally, the role involves customer contact and providing excellent customer service. The Associate may be trained in various areas including hardlines, softlines, housewares, electronics, mechanical goods, books, or shoes, depending on business needs. There may also be occasional work in donations.

Essential Functions
  1. Meet or exceed productivity standards and KPIs for assigned duties.
  2. Sort donated items by type, season, color, and quality.
  3. Hang, size, price, tag, and prepare items for sale.
  4. Inspect and test items that plug in or run on batteries to ensure they are in good condition.
  5. Price items according to Goodwill standards, researching value online or using company tools as needed.
  6. Maintain organized, stocked, and clean production and sales areas.
  7. Provide excellent customer service and respond to product questions.
  8. Rotate or remove old or unsold products to refresh inventory.
  9. Assist with processing e-commerce products if assigned.
  10. Follow all retail policies and safety procedures.
  11. Keep work areas organized and adhere to continuous improvement standards.
  12. Cross-train in other departments and act as backup as needed.
  13. Perform additional responsibilities as required.
Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience: One year of retail experience preferred.
  • Other: Attention to detail, decision-making ability, basic technology skills, judgment in assessing product quality and value, effective communication, ability to use a dolly and pallet jack, and flexibility to work varied schedules including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
