Job summary

The Salvation Army Thrift Store in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a part-time Retail Store Processor earning $13.50 per hour. Work 25 hours per week with flexible scheduling, including days, evenings and weekends. You will process donated goods, keep the store organized, and help meet production goals while supporting programs in the community.

Role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and basic math/computer skills, with paid training and opportunities to grow in retail and customer service.

Qualifications

• Basic communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
• Ability to stand and walk for most of the shift.
• Ability to bend, reach, and lift or move merchandise.
• High school diploma or currently pursuing.

Responsibilities

• Sort, tag, and price merchandise.
• Move processed merchandise to the sales floor.
• Track and report production numbers.
• Receive trucks and assist to load, unload and move product to the correct departments.
• Maintain clean work and storage spaces.
• Work with team to meet daily production goals for merchandise processing and store stock.
• May make bank runs or cross-train in another department.
