Job summary

Ultipro is seeking a part-time, on-site Retail Cert Pharmacy Tech for the downtown pharmacy. The role supports dispensing, labeling, data entry, and customer service under pharmacist supervision.

Requirements include 3 years in retail pharmacy, a high school diploma or equivalent, strong math, 40 wpm typing, and knowledge of the metric system. Certification with Oregon Board is required; lifting up to 30 pounds and standing for long periods are expected.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years experience or equivalent education in a Retail Pharmacy.
• High School diploma or equivalent; knowledge of the metric system; 40 wpm typing skills; Manual dexterity; follow oral and written instructions; attention to detail with accuracy and efficiency; perform mathematical proportion problems.
• Preferred: five years or more of similar job experience. Previous health care experience especially in a pharmacy.
• Valid National Certification / Licensed and certified with Oregon Board of Pharmacy

Responsibilities

• Prepares medications for dispensing including accurate labeling and documentation under the supervision of a pharmacist to ensure compliance with departmental/state/federal regulations and patient safety including:
• Interprets and accurately data enters prescription information into the pharmacy computer system and notifies pharmacist of significant problems.
• Attends department meetings and provides ideas for innovations, cost containment, improving quality of care and solutions to problems.
• Ability to prioritize job tasks based on patient need; maintains narcotics control data; manages inventory and stock; verifies inventory against invoices.
• Provides excellent customer service in person and on the telephone.
• Keeps equipment clean and reports repairs; participates in policy/procedure improvements.
