Job summary

Natchitoches Regional Medical Center (NRMC) is seeking a part-time Staff Pharmacist for the NRMC Multispecialty Clinic. You will process orders, monitor therapies, supervise staff, and provide drug information to clinicians and patients, including complex parenteral and chemotherapy products.

You will ensure accurate medication histories, dosing, and safety, while supporting billing accuracy and formulary adherence.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy and licensed as a pharmacist by the Louisiana State Board of Pharmacy.
• Experience with pharmacy information systems required.
• Preferred health system experience and Meditech knowledge.
• Monitoring billing accuracy and compliance issues is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and dispense medication orders per physician request following policies and protocols.
• Interpret verbal and written orders and maintain accurate patient medication profiles.
• Compound and dispense sterile, chemotherapy, and parenteral products accurately.
• Distribute controlled substances and maintain required records.
• Monitor drug therapies for safety and appropriateness; review interactions and allergies.
• Provide clinical consultation and drug information to staff and patients; educate pharmacy staff and other teams.
• Lead quality improvement activities and participate in medication-use reviews and training programs.
