Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores in Michigan is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate to deliver a friendly shopping experience. You will assist customers, process transactions, stock floors, and help unload merchandise while maintaining store cleanliness.

This role emphasizes strong communication, reliability, and physical fitness to lift 30-50 lbs as needed. Prior experience in retail or service is preferred, and you will work with team members to ensure a safe, welcoming environment for customers

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, bathrooms, floors, and areas.
• Other duties as assigned.
