Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. is hiring a Customer Service Associate to support a positive shopping experience. You will assist customers, process transactions at the register, and help keep the store stocked and clean. The role emphasizes friendly interactions, safety, and adherence to procedures in a retail setting.

The position is part-time, involving physical tasks like lifting and stocking, with opportunities to work across departments and support store operations as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment while interacting with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Maintain store cleanliness, bathrooms, floors, trash, and presentable areas.
• Other duties as assigned.
