Job summary

Family Dollar in Port Wentworth, GA is hiring a Part-time Customer Service Associate. You will assist customers, handle transactions at the register, and ensure store cleanliness and safety. The role includes stocking, unloading shipments, and maintaining a positive shopping environment.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent and prior retail or customer service experience is preferred. Lifting up to 50 lbs and moving about the store are routine.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform physical duties as described.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain store cleanliness, restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, trash removal.
• Other duties as assigned.
