Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate in Hackettstown, NJ to deliver a positive shopping experience. You will assist customers, process transactions, manage stock, unload trucks, and maintain store cleanliness. The role emphasizes friendly customer service, safety, and teamwork with leadership.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and prior retail or service experience. Flexibility for physical duties and stand/walk throughout shifts is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms and floors.
• Other duties as assigned.
