Job summary

Family Dollar in Geneva, Ohio is seeking a Customer Service Associate to help customers, process sales, and keep the store running smoothly.

You will assist shoppers, manage the register, stock shelves, unload trucks, and maintain a clean, safe work environment while delivering friendly service.

Part-time role with standard duties, requiring a high school diploma and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs; previous retail or customer service experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents required.
• Must lift 30–50 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and unload trucks; stock replenishment per productivity standards.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, trash, and presentation.
• Other duties as assigned.
