Job summary

Family Dollar in Andover, Ohio is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate to assist customers, operate the cash register, stock merchandise, and keep the store clean and presentable.

The role requires strong customer service skills, reliability, and physical stamina to lift 30–50 lbs and perform daily tasks. Prior retail or service experience is preferred; duties include unloading, stocking, and maintaining a safe store environment.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service experience in retail or similar environments.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, bending.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Experience in maintaining cleanliness and stock replenishment helpful.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Responsible for cleanliness throughout the store, bathrooms, floors, trash.
• Other duties as assigned.
