Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking a Customer Service Associate to join our Chesapeake, VA store and provide an excellent shopping experience for every customer. The role includes assisting customers, processing transactions, stocking and unloading merchandise, and maintaining a clean, safe store environment.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent (preferred) and prior retail or customer service experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform standing, walking, bending, and other movements.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and restock merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks; stock replenishment per productivity standards.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and coworkers.
• Maintain cleanliness of the store, bathrooms, and floors.
• Other duties as assigned.
