Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC is seeking a Customer Service Associate to provide a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, handle sales transactions at the register, and help keep the store clean and stocked.

The role requires strong communication and organizational skills, with physical ability to lift 30–50 lbs. and stand/walk frequently. This is a part-time position at our New Martinsville location, WV.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and handle frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment following productivity standards.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Clean and maintain store areas, restrooms, floors, and waste removal.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
