Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of South Carolina LLC is seeking a Part-time Customer Service Associate to join our Ladson store. You will assist customers, handle transactions, stock shelves, receive merchandise, and ensure a clean, safe shopping environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, prior retail or service experience, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are essential as you interact with customers and teammates daily.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operating documents.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help unload trucks; stock replenishment.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Keep the store clean, restocked, and presentable (restroom, floors, trash).
• Perform other duties as assigned.
