Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC in Jeffersonville, Indiana, seeks a part-time Customer Service Associate to provide a friendly shopping experience, assist customers with questions, manage transactions at the register, and help keep the store clean and well-stocked.

You’ll work with a team to protect assets, unload trucks, restock merchandise, and maintain safety and professionalism. Prior retail or service experience is preferred; a high school diploma is optional but common.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and perform repetitive lifting; able to stand, walk, bend, and move frequently.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the registered checkout.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and assist with unloading trucks and stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and coworkers.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, and trash disposal.
• Other duties as assigned.
