Job summary

Dollar Tree in Hackettstown, New Jersey, is seeking a Part-time Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience for every customer. You will assist customers with questions and recommendations, manage transactions at the cash register, and help stock and maintain store cleanliness.

The ideal candidate has strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, and can follow instructions while delivering friendly, professional service to customers and teammates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail or related fields preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms and floors.
• Other duties as assigned.
