Job summary

Family Dollar in Dover, TN is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate to help deliver a positive shopping experience. You will assist customers, process sales at the register, stock shelves, and help unload merchandise while maintaining safety and courtesy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment highly preferred
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents
• Able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping and lifting
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors and trash
• Other duties as assigned
