Job summary

Save A Lot in Haines City, FL is seeking a Store Clerk (Part Time) to support daily store operations including cashiering, stocking, cleaning, and maintaining perishables.

The role reports to the store manager and involves customer service, operating a cash register, handling transactions, and assisting with deliveries and stock rotation. Candidates should be 18+ with a High School diploma or equivalent preferred and English proficiency.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Proven, efficient retail sales experience; experience in dry grocery, perishable, meat, general grocery, cash management and excellent customer service preferred.
• Excellent teamwork and problem-solving skills.
• Must be able to read, write and speak in English.
• Demonstrate effective oral and written communication, interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in basic math skills required, including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, and basic computer skills.
• Must be dependable and flexible to work scheduled shifts, including a willingness to work in other areas of the store as needed with little or no advance notice.
• Must adhere to safety standards.
• Must adhere to a uniform dress code.

Responsibilities

• Operates a cash register efficiently and performs checkout procedures with accuracy.
• Follows all check-out and cash handling procedures and policies.
• Stocking, shelving, and maintaining grocery, perishable and dairy sections.
• Assists with unloading delivery trucks.
• Maintains a safe and clean working environment.
• Provides excellent customer service and communication.
• Assists store management in training other team members.
• Ensures products have price tags and are displayed per guidelines.
