Job summary

Brand Handy Mart in Garner, NC is seeking a part-time Cashier/Sales Associate to greet customers, ring up purchases, and keep the store clean and welcoming. You will become knowledgeable about lottery, tobacco, and alcohol sales and handle cash accurately while providing friendly service.

Qualifications

• Age 18 or older.
• Availability to work weekends and holidays.
• Stand and be on your feet for extended periods.
• Strong reading, writing and spoken English.
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Friendly demeanor and reliable work ethic.
• Detail-oriented and able to follow procedures.
• Retail or customer service experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and operate the register with accuracy and speed.
• Become knowledgeable about lottery, tobacco, and alcohol sales with age verification.
• Upsell when appropriate to help increase sales.
• Keep the store clean and safe inside and outside, including restrooms and lot area.
• Stock shelves and displays; maintain attractive, organized sections.
• Follow safety procedures and company policies; be a team player.
