Job summary

IKEA Gruppe is hiring a part-time Retail Associate in Texas to help customers, keep the store stocked and inviting, and assist with food service and inventory. You will learn product features, advise customers and support in-store merchandising and seasonal resets.

The role includes night and weekend shifts, a focus on customer experience, and a friendly, inclusive team environment focused on helping customers find the right home solutions.

Qualifications

• 1 year of retail experience, preferably in the home furnishing sector.
• Experience in actively selling through understanding customers and their needs.

Responsibilities

• Actively approach customers requiring additional help, identify their needs and advise them on the best solutions for their homes.
• Keep area of responsibility clean, tidy, priced and fully stocked; maintain IKEA merchandising standards.
• Convey passion about IKEA products and share product knowledge to help customers make informed choices.
• Build furniture for in-store displays and seasonal remodels.
• Prepare, produce and maintain IKEA Food menu items and serve customers following safety guidelines.
• Receive inbound goods and ensure inventory accuracy at receiving.
• Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Provide customers with a simple and smooth returns/exchanges experience.
