Job summary

Goodwill NCW in Wisconsin Rapids is seeking a part-time cashier to support daily store operations. You will scan items, process payments, and help maintain clean, organized displays in line with merchandising standards.

The role requires strong time management, clear communication, cash handling accuracy, basic math, and fluency in English. Prior computer experience helps; reliable transportation and a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays are expected.

Qualifications

• Excellent time management and prioritization skills and the ability to work through multiple tasks simultaneously under time constraints.
• Excellent communication, customer service and attention to detail.
• Ability to operate a cash register and accurately count money.
• Basic math skills required.
• Fluent in English.
• Experience with computers or a willingness and ability to learn.
• Reliable transportation and ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, evenings, and weekends, with regular and timely attendance in accordance with the assigned work schedule.

Responsibilities

• Scans items and processes payments accurately following cash handling standards.
• Educates customers on Round Up program to achieve program goals.
• Informs customers on Good Points program to achieve program goals.
• Operates telephone including professionally answering calls and operating the paging system.
• Ensures items are properly displayed, pulled, and restocked in alignment with merchandising standards and leadership guidance.
• Assists customers in locating items when possible or seeks assistance for the customer if unable to help.
