Qualifications

• Read and write English; interact with the general public and co-workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, shelf tags and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Explain product information clearly to customers and colleagues.
• Regularly lift up to 25 lb, with frequent lifts up to 45 lb and occasional up to 60 lb.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a store section and stock merchandise with standard equipment.
• Ensure proper pricing and rotation by checking product codes and date codes.
• Prepare perishable products for sale as needed.
• Set up advertising and promotional displays.
• Clean and maintain sanitation in store interiors, exteriors and parking lot as directed.
• Assist customers by providing current store and product information.
• Load purchases into vehicles when requested.
• Record lost/damaged goods and store supplies as part of basic bookkeeping.
