Job summary

BikesOnline is opening its first permanent retail showroom in San Clemente and we’re seeking a friendly Part-Time Retail Assistant to join us for one Saturday shift.

You will help deliver an engaging showroom experience, assist customers in choosing bikes, explain specifications, and support test rides while keeping the space welcoming and well presented. You’ll also follow up with customers and assist with stock, fittings, and Click & Pick orders.

Qualifications

• Authorization to work in the United States.
• Available to work every Saturday.
• Strong bicycle knowledge and comfort discussing bike types, components and accessories.
• Retail sales experience or customer-facing hospitality background.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an engaging showroom experience and assist customers in selecting bikes, explaining specs and supporting test rides.
• Conduct outbound follow-ups with customers and coordinate showroom visits, test rides, and Click & Pick orders.
• Maintain showroom cleanliness, stock, and compliance with procedures; support opening/closing and stock replenishment.

Part-Time Retail Assistant - Saturdays

BikesOnline is opening its first permanent retail showroom inSan Clemente, and we’re looking for an enthusiastic Part-Time Retail Assistant to join us for one shift every Saturday.

This is a great opportunity for someone with strong bicycle knowledge who enjoys sales, helping customers and creating memorable in-store experiences.

What You’ll Do

Reporting to the Sales Supervisor, you’ll help deliver an engaging and welcoming showroom experience every Saturday. Your responsibilities will include:

Showroom Sales & Customer Experience

• Welcome and engage customers with a warm, helpful and energetic approach.
• Understand customers’ needs and help them choose the right bike.
• Confidently explain bike specifications, features and comparisons.
• Deliver engaging product demonstrations and support customers with test rides.
• Recommend relevant parts and accessories to complement bike purchases.
• Provide basic bike fit guidance and adjustments, referring more complex needs to a qualified specialist.
• Build positive customer relationships that encourage repeat business, referrals and online reviews.
• Process showroom sales, payments, exchanges and returns through Shopify POS.
• Pick showroom orders from the warehouse using our ScanForce handheld system when required.

Outbound Sales & Customer Follow-Up

During quieter periods in the showroom, you may also:

• Contact Southern California customers who have abandoned an online cart and invite them to visit the showroom for a test ride.
• Follow up with previous customers to encourage repeat purchases.
• Coordinate showroom collection times for Click & Pick orders.
• Contact customers who have scheduled a Fit Expert consultation.
• Help customers understand our 30-day in-home fitting process when their preferred bike is unavailable for a local demonstration.

Showroom Operations

• Keep the showroom clean, safe, well stocked and presented to a high standard.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures.
• Monitor showroom stock and coordinate replenishment with the warehouse team.
• Help maintain accurate stock records.
• Provide feedback on customer trends, sales opportunities and stock requirements.
• Work with our Sales, Customer Service and Warranty teams to deliver a consistent customer experience.
• Complete other reasonable duties as required by the Sales Supervisor.

About You

You’ll be someone who:

• Has strong bicycle knowledge and genuinely enjoys talking about bikes.
• Loves helping people and creating memorable customer experiences.
• Has experience in retail sales or customer-facing hospitality.
• Builds rapport quickly and communicates confidently.
• Enjoys working towards sales goals.
• Is organised, proactive and comfortable taking ownership.
• Can work independently and use quieter periods productively.
• Is comfortable following up with customers by phone and email.
• Is reliably available to work every Saturday.

Previous bicycle industry experience is highly regarded but not essential. However, you must be comfortable discussing bike types, components, parts and accessories with customers.

Schedule and Compensation

• Part-time position
• One shift every Saturday
• $25.50 per hour
