Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to work independently in the person’s home and/or community.
• Reliable with effective communication and organizational skills.
• New York State Driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance is required; acceptable driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the individual in the home while family is in the community.
• Help explore community activities and outings (libraries, bookstores, nature, etc.).
• Support flexible hours, with ongoing coordination between candidate and the family.
• Maintain safety and privacy while providing respite and companionship.
