Heart Hospital of Austin is seeking a Certified Respiratory Therapist (PT) to administer respiratory care and perform diagnostic procedures as directed by the attending physician. The role requires comprehensive patient assessment, evidence-based therapy adjustments, and effective communication with the care team.

Responsibilities include documentation, staff collaboration, and active participation in clinical management, adhering to hospital policies and infection control guidelines.

Formación

• ACLS to be obtained within 90 days of start date.
• BLS to be obtained within 30 days of start date.
• NBRC-CRT Certified Respiratory Therapist credential.
• RRT/RCP-State Respiratory Therapist/Practitioner.
• Associate Degree required.

Responsabilidades

• Administers respiratory care as ordered by physician.
• Performs diagnostic procedures to evaluate therapy needs.
• Assess, interpret results, and adjust therapy as needed.
• Communicate with physicians and staff; document findings.
• Provide patient and family education.
• Assist in clinical management of patients under physician guidance.
