Job summary

The Grand Pavilion for Rehabilitation and Nursing at Rockville Centre is seeking a part-time Respiratory Therapist (RT) to join a skilled nursing team serving a geriatric population. The RT must hold an active state license (RRT or CRT) and be able to work independently, performing functional therapeutic activities to enhance resident experience.

Responsibilities include completing assessments, initiating therapies, maintaining records, and providing bedside treatments.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program.
• Licensed in the practicing state as RRT or CRT.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Complete assessments and implement respiratory techniques.
• Initiate therapies and maintain patient records.
• Operate, check, and assemble equipment.
• Provide bedside treatments and quarterly in-services for staff.
• Complete daily/weekly/monthly documentation.
• Attend IDT meetings and participate in caseload management.
