Requirements include an Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science, active BLS and State Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or NBRC RRT, with 1+ critical care experience

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science.
• Active BLS certification.
• State Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or NBRC RRT.
• 1+ critical care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Documents and charges for procedures accurately.
• Demonstrates collaboration and teamwork in assisting with patient flow.
• Practices standard precautions and enforces safety regulations.
• Interprets evaluations and test results to determine appropriate treatment plans in consultation with interdisciplinary healthcare team.
• Responds to Code Blue emergencies immediately providing CPR according to the AHA guidelines.
• Performs respiratory therapies and ventilator management per protocol.
• Obtains and analyzes arterial blood gases and co-oximetry; performs quality controls.
