Qualifications

• Experience in supporting instructional activities and student supervision.
• Ability to implement classroom plans and adapt to student needs.
• Comfort with role-playing, discussions, and modeling appropriate behaviors.

Responsibilities

• Tutoring and assisting children individually or in small groups to reinforce learning concepts.
• Supervising students in classrooms, halls, cafeterias, or on field trips.
• Observing student performance and recording data to assess progress.
• Enforcing school policies and rules governing students.
• Presenting subject matter under teacher direction using lectures or supervised methods.
• Providing support for classroom activities and materials to reinforce IEP objectives.
• Implementing instructional programs under teacher supervision, including reading, math, language, and computer skills.
• Collecting and organizing instructional materials for lessons.
• Assisting with administration and scoring of curriculum-based tests.
• Communicating with general and special education staff and administrators to report progress and support IEP objectives.
• Guiding parents to general education or special education teachers for communications regarding their child.
