Job summary

Gateway Foundation is seeking a part-time Residential Substance Abuse Counselor at the Springfield Residential location in Springfield, IL. You will conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and participate in multidisciplinary meetings to support adults and the client population in a residential setting.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in psychology, counseling, or social work, with at least six months of related experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum six months of experience in substance abuse or mental health counseling
• Related work with a program-specific population in a residential setting
• Bachelor's or Master's in psychology, counseling, social work, or related field preferred

Responsibilities

• Conducts assessment and evaluation to determine scope and type of care needed
• Develops comprehensive treatment plans
• Participates in multi-disciplinary treatment team meetings
• Leads group counseling and education sessions
• Engages clients in one-on-one individual counseling sessions
• Maintains confidential, accurate and timely documentation of client progress in EHR
