Job summary

Encore Village of Schaumburg is seeking a part-time server to interact with residents and guests in our Independent Living dining room. You will take orders, serve with a friendly, efficient manner, and maintain a clean, organized dining area while following all safety and confidentiality policies.

The role emphasizes excellent communication, greeting guests, and providing high-quality service during meals and special functions, with training and ongoing supervision by the dining team.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Servers must be attentive to residents' needs and create welcoming, comfortable environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve residents/guests at tables in the Dining Room.
• Take orders and bus/set tables.
• Ensure all shift duties are completed before close.
• Set up and clean dining area for functions.
• Answer diners' questions about menu items and specials.
• Greet residents and guests warmly.
• Adhere to sanitation and safety protocols.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information.
• Attend in-service training and participate in safety policies.
• Report hazardous conditions or equipment.
• Prepare routine set-up for next day or holidays.
• Maintain quality level of service.
