Job summary

Murrieta Health and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a part-time Janitor/Housekeeper to maintain a clean, safe environment in accordance with federal, state and local standards. You will work under the housekeeping department or Administrator, treat residents with dignity, and coordinate with nursing staff for routine isolation procedures when needed.

The role requires attention to safety, proper handling of chemicals, and adherence to infection control policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum 6 months experience in healthcare setting preferred.
• Must be able to understand English language.
• Must be to follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and polishing furniture, fixtures and surfaces in resident rooms and throughout the facility.
• Cleaning, washing, sanitizing, and polishing bathroom fixtures.
• Maintaining spotless windows and mirrors in resident areas and entrances.
• Cleaning floors with sweeping, mopping, disinfecting.
• Vacuuming, shampooing, and deodorizing carpets.
• Dusting walls and ceilings and removing spots.
• Disposing of refuse and sanitizing trash cans daily.
• Keeping areas free of hazards and maintaining supply carts.
