JOB DESCRIPTION AND REQUIREMENTS:
This part-time research technician position involves performing a variety of sample preparation tasks with different environmental matrices. The candidate must be organized, detail-oriented, and possess basic lab skills. The successful candidate will operate various sample prep equipment to perform extractions, evaporation, and sample pretreatment for analysis.
The role includes supporting sample preparation tasks, requiring reliability, organization, and proficiency with standard operating procedures. Tasks include using balances, microbalances, solid phase extraction, sample evaporation, reconstitution, and operating new lab equipment such as Geno Grinder, Ball Mill, Accelerated Solvent Extractor, Rocket evaporator, muffle furnace, and vacuum oven.
