The Pennsylvania State University is seeking a part‑time Research Assistant for the Eberly College of Science, Department of Physics, to join the Penn State LIGO group. You will analyze gravitational wave data and contribute to searches for compact binary mergers, and develop methods, models, and software to support these activities.
The position requires significant post‑graduate experience with LIGO data analysis and gravitational wave research.
The Eberly College of Science, Department of Physics is seeking applicants for a part‑time job of Research Assistant.
The applicant will be expected to conduct gravitational wave data analysis for the Penn State LIGO group including searches for compact binary mergers and developing methods, models and software to support these activities.
The applicant is required to have significant post‑graduate experience with LIGO data analysis and research in gravitational wave physics.
Schedule: 20 hours weekly.
Compensation: The starting rate for this job is $25.
Employment with the University will require successful completion of background check(s) in accordance with University policies.
