Job summary

Northeastern University’s Exercise Psychology Laboratory in Boston is seeking a part-time Research Coordinator to support multiple projects focused on mind-body health and healthy lifestyle interventions across the lifespan. The role involves IRB protocol editing, participant recruitment, data collection, and data management in RedCap.

You will perform statistical analyses using R, MATLAB, and Python, contribute to literature reviews and scientific publications, and help lead outreach activities

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field and at least one year in a lab environment.
• Experience conducting human subjects research and data collection.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Composing and modifying IRB protocols.
• Developing and posting advertisements for participant recruitment.
• Screening, contacting, and scheduling potential participants.
• Maintaining a secure recruitment database (RedCap).
• Conducting research study visits and data analyses using R, MATLAB, Python.
• Literature review and preparation of scientific materials.
• Engaging with the Boston community to recruit participants.
• Developing outreach activities and workshops for recruitment.
• Communicating complex scientific concepts to diverse audiences.
• Summarizing empirical papers for blogs/newsletters and online publications.
• Utilizing social media for project dissemination.
• Leading group discussions and physical activity sessions.
