JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS
The College of Agricultural Sciences in the Department of Entomology is seeking applicants for part-time job of Part-Time Research Assistant. The successful applicant will be a punctual, responsible, talented, self-motivated, team worker.
Job duties to include:
Perform manual and routine tasks in support of research, while receiving professional training in molecular and biochemical techniques, as well as developing technical and presentation skills. Activities may involve work in the greenhouse and/or laboratory.
Insect population or cell line maintaining, molecular biology and biochemistry experiments
Collect and enter data, and eventual tedious activities but necessary to keep the project running.
Initially, students will report to the Principal Investigator or their direct mentor. The development of their own research projects is a possibility depending on their interest and performance.
Compensation:
The rate for this job is $15/hr.
