University of Louisville's School of Medicine, Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology, invites applications for a Temporary Research Assistant to support pharmacological experiments on cannabinoids and other drugs. This part-time, fixed-term role schedules 30 hours per week.

The successful candidate will help order supplies, conduct cell culture and animal experiments, collect data, perform basic data analyses, search scientific literature, and assist in drafting protocols and manuscripts

Qualifications

• The candidate has 3 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry or neuroscience and relevant lab experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in ordering lab supplies and maintain lab operations.
• Assist in experiments using cell culture and animal models, collect data and perform routine data analysis.
• Assist in literature searches, prepare protocols and assist in manuscript preparation.
