The Andersons, Inc. is seeking a Renewables Purchasing & Inventory Coordinator to manage the procurement of critical goods and materials for a Renewables plant, and to oversee PO lifecycle through invoicing, supplier quality, and returns issues.

You will partner with vendors to ensure product availability, improve sourcing strategies, and optimize inventory levels. This role requires strong supplier relationship management, analytical thinking, and a continuous improvement mindset to support

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; Associate’s Degree preferred.
  • 5+ years’ relevant experience required.
  • Inventory and warehousing management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Purchases complex/critical goods and materials.
  • Issues PO’s, manage and resolve issues regarding PO to invoice discrepancies, returns or quality problems with suppliers.
  • Work with vendors and suppliers to ensure availability of products; proactively find solutions, resources for supply shortages and communicate effectively to teams.
  • Responsible for exploring new products, materials, suppliers, and processes to achieve the best possible quality, reliability, prices, continuity, and delivery.
  • Establish procedures and maintains inventory levels.
  • Collaborate with other plant procurement departments to optimize inventory levels to manage working capital.
  • Plant resource to provide training and support to department personnel on company purchasing policies, procedures, and systems.

Position Overview

The Renewables Purchasing & Inventory Coordinator position oversees the purchasing of critical goods, equipment, supplies, and materials for a Renewables plant while managing purchase orders through resolution of invoicing, supplier quality, and returns-related issues. The role partners closely with vendors to ensure product availability, mitigate supply disruptions, and communicate solutions to internal stakeholders. It also identifies and implements opportunities to improve sourcing strategies, supplier performance, product quality, cost effectiveness, and delivery reliability. Additionally, the position manages inventory processes and collaborates with procurement teams to optimize inventory levels, support working capital objectives, and provide training on purchasing systems and policies. The ideal candidate is a highly organized, analytical, and proactive professional with strong supplier relationship management skills, inventory expertise, and a continuous improvement mindset.

Key Responsibilities
