Job summary

Mount Greylock Regional School District seeks a Multilingual Learner Tutor to provide targeted English instruction for an out-of-district student. The role emphasizes DESE-aligned language development and SEI/ESL best practices, with a focus on building confidence in language acquisition.

This part-time, 45-minute daily position offers remote or in-person work (to be determined) with reporting to the Principal, and requires MA ESL licensure and SEI endorsement. Background checks are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Massachusetts DESE License in ESL and SEI Endorsement required.
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Commitment to current content knowledge and instructional strategies.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 45 minutes of daily English language instruction aligned with DESE PK–6 benchmarks and WIDA ELD standards.
• Assess academic English development using culturally sensitive tools.
• Develop tailored learning materials suited to the student’s maturity and skill level.
• Maintain regular communication regarding student progress with teachers, administration, and parents/guardians.
• Keep accurate records of activities for district and state audit compliance.
