Job summary

The instructor will teach Religion courses, create or follow syllabi, and align course materials with learning outcomes as defined by the Arts & Philosophy Department and the State of Ohio.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in subject area or closely related field.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Three years of teaching or industry experience (preferred).
• Experience using Brightspace or other LMS (preferred).
• Ability to work with students from diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to use online instructional technologies.
• Flexible availability for online consultation with students.

Responsibilities

• Instruct students in various Religion courses and follow syllabi/materials to support course outcomes.
• Ensure students achieve course learning outcomes as defined in the syllabus.
• Maintain electronic records of student performance, progress, and attendance (Brightspace).
• Complete start/end-of-semester responsibilities, including submission of no-show rosters and final grades.
