Job summary

Ayrshire Independent Living Network (AILN) is seeking a Temporary Personal Assistant / Relief Support Worker in Irvine. The role offers 18 hours per week with six hours per day on Mon, Wed, and Fri, 9:30/10:00 start times, and potential casual hours for holiday and sickness cover.

The successful candidate will support a gentleman with a mild learning disability, promoting independence and community involvement, and may assist with personal care and medication supervision as needed.

Qualifications

• Must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle.
• Friendly, positive, patient, flexible and reliable with good communication skills and a commitment to supporting people to live independent and fulfilling lives.

Responsibilities

• Provide temporary sickness cover and holiday/absence cover for the gentleman.
• Support and encourage participation in community activities and events, promoting independence, choice, dignity and inclusion.
• Maintain safeguarding, health and safety, and reporting concerns to family as required.
