One Family Illinois is seeking a part-time Relief Parent to support our Foster Parents in Village homes across Chicago and surrounding areas. This role helps care for up to six siblings in a family setting while the Foster Parents are away, ensuring continuity of care and safety.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid Illinois driver's license, background clearance, and the ability to work in specified Village locations.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Illinois driver’s license with acceptable driving record and proof of auto insurance.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• DCFS background clearance required.
• Ability to work in one of the Village locations in Chicago, Roosevelt Square, or Lockport.
• Ability to work in a drug- and alcohol-free environment.

Responsabilités

• Provide care for children during Foster Parents' absence for several hours.
• Assist with transporting children to school and activities as needed.
• Coordinate with Professional Foster Parents and the Program Assistant to adjust schedules.
• Relief shifts are issued monthly; candidates can select from available options.
• Maintain flexibility as schedules may vary and are not guaranteed.
