Job summary

One Family Illinois invites caring individuals to become Foster Parents, offering a private home setting and support from staff to keep siblings together. The role provides a base salary with a full benefits package for full-time Foster Parents who live in the home.

The program emphasizes stability for children, access to healthcare benefits after 90 days, and a pathway to retirement savings, with additional education and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license is required.
• DCFS background clearance is required.
• DCFS medical clearance is required.
• Must be at least 25 years old.
• Sensitivity to cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of clients and staff.
• Willingness to relocate to one of the Village homes.

Responsibilities

• Provide a healthy, safe, and secure home for up to 6 children.
• Ensure medical, dental, emotional, and educational needs are met.
• Advocate for children and attend visits, court appearances, and meetings as needed.
• Maintain household budget and children's progress records.
• Participate in ongoing training and maintain certifications.
• Comply with One Family Illinois policies and applicable laws.
